Today's Verse : Amos 5:14

Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. — Amos 5:14

Thought

Many illicit and evil groups have claimed to have God on their side. Horrific things have been done under the disguise of a "Christian" movement. Jesus, however, told us we could recognize people by their fruit. Those who seek good and abhor evil and those who practice justice and mercy are the ones who have God with them. Let's make sure our claim of God's presence is matched by the presence of God's character in our lives!

Prayer

Almighty God and loving Father, thank you for your presence in my life. Please forgive me when I let sin and selfishness crowd you out and bring reproach to your name. Empower me with your Holy Spirit to live as your holy child while displaying your righteous character to the world. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

In the next breathe he became a voice for the devil. So, the

Apostle Paul admonishes us, "it is not enough to be born again, we need to also ensure we walk in the spirit." That is so essential and crucial to our walk. We have not been called to religion. We have been called to a living, loving, close-knit relationship/fellowship/walk with the Godhead - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Anything short, and we are merely practicing a religion, which does not give life, even life forevermore.
